Defect
The driver's airbag inflator igniter was manufactured using an improper process. In some units, the ignition compound inside the igniter has detached. If a frontal collision occurs, the affected airbag may fail to deploy, and the occupant may sustain excessive injury.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the inflator serial number. On units that are identified as affected, replace the airbag assembly with a good unit.

状況
運転席エアバッグにおいて、エアバッグ内部のインフレータ（ガス発生装置）の点火装 置の製造方法が不適切なため、点火装置内部の点火剤が剥離するものがあり、前面衝突時 に当該エアバッグが展開せず、乗員が過度な傷害を受けるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、インフレータの製造番号を点検し、該当するものはエアバッグを良品と交換す る。
