Defect
Improper surface treatment of the wiring terminals in the headlamp control switch causes contact resistance to increase as the terminal mating section shifts during headlamp switching operations. In the worst case, the connector coupler melts, resulting in a loss of continuity and headlamp failure.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the control switch with a corrected part and replace the female terminals in the headlamp wiring with non-defective parts. If the coupler is damaged, replace the coupler as well.

状況
灯火装置において、前照灯操作スイッチ部の配線用端子の表面処理が不適切なため、前照 灯の切り替え操作を行うと当該端子の嵌合部が動くことにより接触抵抗が増大するものが あり、最悪の場合、接続カプラーが溶けて導通不良となり、前照灯が不灯となるおそれが ある。
改善措置
全車両、操作スイッチを対策品と交換するとともに前照灯用配線のメス端子を良品と交換 する。 なお、カプラーに損傷がある場合はカプラーを良品と交換する。
