Defect

The electrical wiring connectors for the aisle lights and step lights, including spare connectors, use non-waterproof connectors with narrow terminal spacing. Continued use in this condition allows snow-melting agents and other contaminants to enter the connectors, causing heat generation and burn damage. In the worst case, a short circuit may occur and the engine may become unable to restart.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the affected connectors with the corrected parts.

状況

通路灯及びステップ灯の電気配線コネクタ及び予備用コネクタに端子間隔の狭い非防水型 を採用しているため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該コネクタ内部に融雪剤等が 侵入することにより発熱・焼損し、最悪の場合、電気回路がショートしてエンジンが再始 動できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、当該コネクタを対策品と交換する。
