Defect
The electrical wiring for the engine intake air heating system is improperly routed, allowing it to contact the parking brake cable. This contact damages the wiring insulation, causing a short circuit. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may result.
Corrective action
Inspect all vehicles and reposition the wiring clip attachment point to correct the routing of the electrical wiring. Replace the wiring on any vehicle where damage to the wiring is found.
