Defect
In the steering gear box, the heat treatment applied to the steering rack was improper on some vehicles. Continued use in this condition may cause the rack teeth to fracture. In the worst case, steering control may be lost.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the steering gear box serial number and replace any affected unit with a conforming part.

状況

改善措置
全車両、ステアリングギヤボックスのシリアル番号を点検し、該当するものは当該ステア リングギヤボックスを良品と交換する。
