Defect
On vehicles equipped with front fog lamps, the socket holder retention structure is improperly designed. Repeated thermal expansion and contraction caused by switching the bulb on and off loosens the socket holder, allowing it to fall out of the lamp assembly together with the bulb. The ejected components may melt surrounding plastic parts and, in the worst case, cause a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, secure the socket holder to the fog lamp body using a spring.

状況
①フロント・フォグランプ装備車両において、当該ランプのソケットホルダーの固定構造 が不適切なため、バルブの点灯・消灯により、固定部分が膨張・収縮を繰り返し、ソケッ トホルダーがバルブとともにランプ本体から脱落して、周辺の樹脂製部品を溶損させ、最 悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、ソケットホルダーとフォグランプ本体をスプリングで固定する。
