Defect
On vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, the dynamic damper that reduces exhaust pipe vibration has insufficient strength and may fracture. Continued use with a fractured damper allows exhaust pipe vibration to increase, causing the exhaust pipe to break and contact the brake pipes. In the worst case, the brake pipes sustain damage and braking force is reduced.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the exhaust pipe with the corrected part. Additionally, to reroute the exhaust pipe, install a heat shield protector on a section of the power steering hose.

状況
自動変速機装着車において、排気管の振動を低減するダイナミックダンパーの強度が不足 しているため、当該ダイナミックダンパーが破損するものがあり、破損したままの状態で 使用を続けると、排気管の振動が増大することにより排気管が折損してブレーキパイプと 干渉し、最悪の場合、ブレーキパイプが損傷して制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、排気管を対策品と交換する。あわせて排気管の取り回しを変更するため、パワー ステアリングホースの一部に遮熱プロテクターを装着する。
