Defect

The auto-tensioner, which maintains timing belt tension, has insufficient vibration damping performance on some units. Continued use can cause the external spring of the auto-tensioner to fracture, allowing the timing belt to slacken and, in the worst case, causing the engine to stall.

On all vehicles, inspect the auto-tensioner and replace any affected unit with the corrected part.

状況

原動機において、タイミングベルトの張力を維持する部品(オートテンショナ)に振動吸 収性能が不十分なものがあるため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該オートテンシ ョナの外部ばねが折損してタイミングベルトが緩み、最悪の場合、原動機が停止するおそ れがある。

改善措置

全車両、当該オートテンショナを確認し、該当するものは対策品と交換する。
