Defect
The support member that holds the lower arm of the front suspension was manufactured without internal rust-prevention treatment. Continued use allows road salts and other corrosive materials to enter the interior, causing rust to develop and progress, reducing the strength of the support member. In the worst case, the arm may detach, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect and clean the interior of the affected support member, then apply rust-prevention treatment. Where significant rust is present, install a reinforcing plate.

状況
前輪緩衝装置の下側アームを支持する部材（サポートメンバー）において、内部の防錆 処理がされていないことから、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、融雪材等が内部に侵入 することにより錆が発生・進行するため、サポートメンバーの強度が低下し、最悪の 場合、当該アームが脱落して走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該サポートメンバーの内部を点検・清掃するとともに、防錆処理を行う。 又、錆の発生の著しいものは補強板を取付ける。
