Defect
During the front suspension manufacturing process, improper assembly resulted in insufficient tightening torque on the bolts securing the lower arm and lower arm ball joint on some vehicles. Continued use may cause these bolts to loosen and, in the worst case, fracture, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the bolt tightening condition. If a gap is found between the bolt and the lower arm surface, or if the bolt has fallen out, replace the lower arm and bolt; if the bolt has also fractured, replace the ball joint as well. If no gap is found between the bolt and the lower arm surface, retorque the bolt to the specified value.

状況
フロント・サスペンションの製造工程において、組み付け作業が不適切なため、ロアアームとロアアームボールジョイントの組み付けボルトの締め付け力が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ボルトが緩み、最悪の場合、当該ボルトが折損し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ボルトの締め付け状態を点検し、当該ボルトとロアアーム表面に隙がある、または、当該ボルトが脱落している場合は、ロアアームと当該ボルトを交換し、ボルトが折損している場合は併せてボールジョイントを交換する。また、当該ボルトとロアアーム表面に隙がない場合は、規定のトルクで締め付ける。
