Defect
Some lower ball joints connecting the lower arm and knuckle arm in the front suspension system have insufficient lubrication on their sliding surfaces. Continued use causes abnormal wear and damage to those surfaces. In the worst case, the lower ball joint may separate from the knuckle arm and the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the left and right lower ball joints (with knuckle arm) with corrected parts.
