Defect
The pistons inside the rear brake assemblies received improper surface treatment during manufacturing. Continued use causes the cups attached to the pistons to wear, allowing brake fluid to leak. In the worst case, the brakes may fail entirely.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected pistons and cups with corrected parts. Where brake fluid has contacted the brake shoes, replace the brake shoes with new units.

状況
後輪の制動装置内部にあるピストンの表面処理に不適切なものがあるため、そのままの状 態で使用を続けると、ピストンに取り付けられているカップが摩耗しブレーキ液が漏れ、 最悪の場合、ブレーキが効かなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ピストンとカップを対策品に交換するとともに、ブレーキシューにブレーキ 液が付着しているものは、新品のブレーキシューに交換する。
