Defect
The rubber oil seal that retains hydraulic pressure in the 4th-gear clutch of the automatic transmission lacks sufficient strength. Continued use allows cracks to develop in the seal, causing hydraulic pressure to drop and the clutch to slip. As a result, the vehicle may fail to accelerate even when the accelerator pedal is depressed.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the oil seal with the corrected part and inspect the clutch. If the clutch surface shows discoloration, replace the clutch assembly with a new unit.

状況
自動変速機の内部にある4速においてのみ作動するクラッチの油圧を保持しているゴム 製オイルシールの強度に余裕がないものがあるため、このままの状態で使用を続けると、 当該オイルシールに亀裂が発生し、油圧が低下することによりクラッチが滑る場合があり 、アクセルペダルを踏んでも加速できなくなる。
改善措置
全車両、オイルシールを対策品と交換するとともに、当該クラッチを点検し、表面が変 色しているものはクラッチを新品と交換する。
