Defect
Improper machining of the torque converter housing causes misalignment between the engine and the automatic transmission. Continued operation under this condition damages the drive plate and, in the worst case, renders the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the torque converter housing and drive plate with corrected parts.

状況
トルクコンバータハウジングの加工が不適切なため、エンジンとオートマチックトランスミッション間に芯ずれが発生しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、ドライブプレートが破損し、最悪の場合、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、トルクコンバータハウジングおよびドライブプレートを良品に交換する。
