Issue
The fuel tray on the fuel tank is incorrectly shaped, allowing water from vehicle washing to enter through the gap between the fuel lid and the floor, accumulate in the fuel tray, and intrude into the fuel tank. If the fuel pump draws in this water, the engine may run roughly. Additionally, the intruding water causes the bottom of the fuel tank to rust. Continued use allows the rust to progress and, in the worst case, results in a fuel leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fuel tray with a corrected part, apply a rubber sponge seal to the fuel lid, and replace the fuel tank, fuel pump, injectors, and fuel hose with new parts.

状況
燃料タンクフューエルトレイの形状が不適切なため、洗車によってフューエルリッドとフロアの隙間から入った水がフューエルトレイに溜まり、燃料タンク内に浸入することがある。そのため、燃料ポンプが水を吸い込むとエンジン不調となるおそれがある。また、浸入した水の影響により、燃料タンク底部が錆び、そのままの状態で使用を続けると錆が進行し、最悪の場合、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フューエルトレイを対策品に交換し、フューエルリッドにラバースポンジを貼り付けるとともに、燃料タンク、燃料ポンプ、インジェクタ、燃料ホースを新品に交換する。
