Defect
The driver-side airbag inflator uses inadequate moisture protection, allowing the gas generant to absorb atmospheric moisture. If the gas generant undergoes repeated cycles of moisture absorption and drying during the vehicle's service life, the airbag may fail to deploy normally during a deployment event.
Corrective action
Inspect the driver-side airbag inflator on all vehicles and, where applicable, replace the inflator with an alternative unit as a precautionary measure.

状況
運転者席側エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、吸湿防止が不適切なため、ガス発生剤が吸湿することがある。そのため、使用過程でガス発生剤が吸湿や乾燥を繰り返した場合など、エアバッグ作動時に正常に展開しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、運転者席側エアバッグインフレータを点検し、該当する場合は、予防的措置としてインフレータを代替品と交換する。
