Issue
On van-type trucks, the striker that holds the cargo compartment side sliding door in the closed position has insufficient strength due to inadequate consideration of vibration loads during the design phase. Driving vibration may cause the striker to crack and fracture, preventing the door from latching closed. In the worst case, the door may open while the vehicle is in motion, causing cargo to fall from the compartment and obstruct other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the striker with a corrected/revised part.

状況
バン型トラックの荷台側面スライド扉が閉まった状態を保持するストライカーにおいて、設計時の振動における検討が不十分だったため、強度が不足している。そのため、走行振動等により当該ストライカーに亀裂が生じ、ストライカーが破断して扉が閉まらなくなることがある。最悪の場合、走行中に扉が開き、荷台から荷物が落下し他の交通の妨げになるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ストライカーを対策品に交換する。
