Issue

On welfare vehicles equipped with a manual driving device, the nut securing the lock mechanism that holds the lever brake in position was not tightened to the specified torque during assembly, causing it to loosen over time. Continued use may make it increasingly difficult to engage the lever brake lock and, in the worst case, the nut may disengage entirely, rendering the lock inoperable.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the tightening bolt is replaced with a corrected part and torqued to the specified value.
