Issue
In the 9-speed automatic transmission (AT), an improperly designed parking lock mechanism — which mechanically locks the wheels when the transmission is placed in Park — may temporarily disengage under certain specific conditions and operations. In the worst case, if the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may move depending on the parking conditions.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the transmission control module to the corrected/updated software. Until the corrected software is available, owners will be notified to apply the parking brake whenever the vehicle is parked; a further notice will be issued once the corrected software is ready.

状況
9速オートマチックトランスミッション(AT)において、パーキングロック機構(Pレンジにした際に車輪を機械的に固定するもの)が不適切なため、特定の条件、操作をした場合に一時的にパーキングロックが外れ、最悪の場合、駐車条件によっては駐車ブレーキを掛けていないと車両が動くおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、トランスミッションコントロールモジュールの制御プログラムを対策品に書き換える。なお、対策プログラムの準備ができるまでの間、停車時に駐車ブレーキ使用の注意喚起を実施し、対策プログラムの準備ができしだい改めて案内する。
