Defect
The fastening torque setting of the assembly tool used to install the screws securing the front bumper clips to the left headlamp is improperly configured, leaving some screws incorrectly fastened. This allows play to develop in the front bumper. During a pedestrian collision, the pedestrian collision detection sensor mounted to the front bumper may not operate normally, preventing the pop-up hood from activating. In the worst case, the vehicle may fail to meet pedestrian head and leg protection standards in a pedestrian impact.
Corrective action
Retighten the front bumper clip mounting screws to the specified torque.

状況
左ヘッドランプに締結されるフロントバンパクリップの固定用スクリュにおいて、組立時に使用する締結工具の締付けトルク設定が不適切なため、正しく締結されていないものがあり、フロントバンパにガタが発生することがある。そのため、歩行者との衝突時にフロントバンパに固定されている歩行者衝突検知センサが正常に作動せず、ポップアップフードが正常に作動しないおそれがあり、最悪の場合、歩行者との衝突時に歩行者頭部及び脚部保護の基準を満足しないおそれがある。
改善措置
フロントバンパクリップ固定用スクリュを正規トルクで締付ける。
