Defect

On vehicles equipped with a 12-speed manual transmission, the shift solenoid valve lacks sufficient suppression of instantaneous voltage spikes generated during operation. The resulting electrical noise interferes with the vehicle speed adapter—a device that converts vehicle speed sensor signals for transmission to the speedometer and other instruments. The adapter may output abnormal values, causing the speedometer, tachograph, speed display unit, and speed limiter to stop functioning.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, add a voltage spike suppression circuit to the transmission shift solenoid valve.

状況

 12段手動変速機搭載車において、変速機のシフト用電磁弁の作動時に発生する瞬間的な 電圧増加を抑制する機能が不十分なため、当該電磁弁から発生したノイズが車速整合器( 車速センサからの信号を変換して速度計等に伝達する装置)に影響を与え、当該整合器の 変換値が異常値を示すものがあり、速度計、運行記録計、速度表示装置および速度制限装 置が作動しなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、変速機のシフト用電磁弁に、瞬間的な電圧増加を抑制する回路を追加する。
