Defect
In the parking cable of the power transmission system, the retaining clip material at the shift lever connection point is inappropriate, causing the clip to degrade through hydrolysis. The clip may then fracture and disconnect from the shift lever, making park lock operation impossible. In the worst case, park lock cannot be engaged and the vehicle cannot be started.
Corrective action
Replace the parking cable shift lever connection retaining clip on all vehicles with a corrected/revised part.

状況
動力伝達装置のパーキングケーブルにおいて、シフトレバー連結部留め具の材質が不適切なため、加水分解にて劣化することがある。そのため、留め具が破損し、シフトレバーとの連結が外れてパークロック操作ができなくなり、最悪の場合、パークロックが掛らず始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、パーキングケーブルのシフトレバー連結部留め具を対策品に交換する。
