Issue
In the collision damage mitigation brake system, the control software for the control unit is incorrect, causing the brake activation duration to be longer than necessary when a pedestrian with collision potential is detected ahead. This may induce unintended hard braking by the driver in response to the unnecessary braking input.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the collision damage mitigation brake system control unit software to the corrected specification.

状況
衝突被害軽減ブレーキシステムにおいて、コントロールユニットの制御プログラムが不適切なため、前方に衝突可能性がある歩行者を検知した際のブレーキ作動時間が必要以上に長くなることがある。そのため、運転者の不要な制動操作による急制動を誘発するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、衝突被害軽減ブレーキシステムコントロールユニットの制御プログラムを対策仕様に書き替える。
