Issue
An error in the engine control computer program allows carbon deposits to accumulate in the combustion chamber. Pieces of that carbon may break loose and become lodged between the exhaust or intake valve and its seat. This causes insufficient compression, which may result in engine stall just before the vehicle stops or difficulty starting the engine.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the engine control computer with a corrected unit and inject engine detergent into the fuel tank.

状況
エンジン制御コンピュータのプログラムが不適切なため、燃焼室にカーボンが堆積し、その一部が剥がれ落ち、排気バルブまたは吸気バルブのシート面に噛み込むことがある。そのため、圧縮不足となり、停止直前のエンストやエンジン始動不良となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン制御コンピュータを対策品と交換し、エンジン清浄剤を燃料タンクに注入する。
