Issue
On the tailgate (refuse inlet door) of these refuse collection vehicles, the reinforcement member attached to the inner side of the tailgate is improperly installed. Vibration from repeated tailgate opening and closing may cause detachment to develop at the attachment ends of the reinforcement member. Continued use allows the detachment to progress, and in the worst case, when an operator opens the tailgate during routine inspection or similar activity, the reinforcement member may fall and cause injury.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, secure the ends of the reinforcement member with bolts and nuts. If a gap remains at the joint between the reinforcement member and the tailgate after fastening, additional fastening points will be added.

状況
塵芥車のテールゲート(ゴミ投入口の扉)において、テールゲートの裏側に取付けた補強材の取付方法が不適切なため、テールゲートの開閉振動等により当該補強材の取付端部に剥離が生じることがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、剥離が進行し、最悪の場合、作業者が日常点検時等にテールゲートを開けた際、補強材が脱落し、負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、補強材の端部をボルト・ナットで固定する。なお、固定後、補強材とテールゲートの接合部に隙間がある場合は固定箇所を追加する。
