Issue
Improper manufacturing process work has damaged the internal resin diaphragm inside the hydraulic brake booster accumulator. Continued use allows cracks to develop in the diaphragm, reducing the nitrogen gas volume within the accumulator. This produces two effects: (1) during emergency braking, brake response may be delayed; and (2) after prolonged vehicle storage, applying the brake immediately after engine start may require significantly greater pedal effort.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the accumulator manufacturing lot number and replace any affected unit with a conforming part.

状況
液圧式制動倍力装置用蓄圧器(アキュムレータ)において、製造工程の作業が不適切なため内部の樹脂膜(ダイヤフラム)が損傷しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けるとダイヤフラムに亀裂が生じ、当該アキュムレータ内の窒素ガス量が減少するとともに、(1)急制動時に、ブレーキの効きが遅れる場合がある。(2)長時間放置し、エンジン始動直後にブレーキを使用した場合、ブレーキ操作に必要な踏力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、アキュムレータの製造ロットを確認し、該当するものは、良品と交換する。
