Defect
For hood assemblies equipped with the pop-up hood system, incorrect assembly work instructions for the left and right hood hinges and hood caused some vehicles to be built with incorrect-specification hood hinges or hoods. In a collision, the rear edge of the hood may not rise sufficiently. In the worst case, the vehicle may fail to meet pedestrian head and leg protection standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the left and right hood hinges and hood; if incorrect-specification parts are found, replace them with genuine correct-specification parts.

状況
ポップアップフードシステム対応ボンネットにおいて、左右ボンネットヒンジ及びボンネット組付け作業指示が不適切なため、誤った仕様のボンネットヒンジ又はボンネットが組付けられているものがある。そのため、衝突時にボンネット後端が十分に上がらず、最悪の場合、歩行者頭部及び脚部保護の基準を満足しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、左右ボンネットヒンジとボンネットを点検し、誤った仕様のボンネットヒンジ又はボンネットが組付けられている場合は正規品と交換する。
