Defect
In the driver-side airbag inflator, moisture protection for the propellant is inadequate. Repeated cycles of temperature and humidity variation cause the propellant to deteriorate. When the airbag deploys, this deterioration may cause the inflator housing to rupture.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the airbag inflator with the corrected part.

状況
運転席用エアバッグのインフレータ―(膨張装置)において、ガス発生剤の吸湿防止が不適切なため、温度および湿度変化の繰り返しによりガス発生剤が劣化することがある。このため、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ―容器が破損することがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアバッグインフレーターを対策品と交換する。
