Defect
The frame bracket that secures the steering gearbox is mispositioned, causing misalignment between the steering gearbox and the intermediate gear joint. Continued use allows the joint fastening to begin loosening. In the worst case, the joint mating surfaces wear through and loss of steering control may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the bracket position. Where misalignment is found, adjust the position using shims and replace the joint with a new part.

状況
ステアリングギヤボックスを固定するフレームのブラケット位置がずれているため、ステ アリングギヤボックスと中間ギヤの継ぎ手に位置ずれが生じているものがある。そのため 、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該継ぎ手の締結が緩みはじめ、最悪の場合、当該 継ぎ手の嵌合部が摩耗して操舵が出来なくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブラケット位置を点検し、当該位置がずれているものはシムを用いて位置調整す ると共に、継ぎ手を新品と交換する。
