Defect
During the manufacturing process, incorrect work instructions caused the label identifying the front side of the drag link to be affixed to the rear side on some units. As a result, the drag link was installed in the vehicle in a front-to-rear reversed orientation, reducing the clearance between the drag link and the tire. When tire chains are fitted, the drag link and tire chains may contact each other.
Corrective action
Replace the drag link on all vehicles with a conforming part.
