Defect
On the gear change pedal, the paint specification for the pivot bolt clamping surface was defined incorrectly, resulting in an excessively thick paint layer on that surface. Heat from the exhaust catalyst converter causes the paint to deform, allowing the pivot bolt to loosen. Repeated gear-change operations can then cause the bolt to fall out and the change pedal to detach, making gear selection impossible.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, remove the paint from the pivot bolt clamping surface and replace the pivot bolt with the corrected part.

状況
ギヤチェンジペダルにおいて、ピボットボルト締付け座面の塗装指示が不適切なため、当該座面の塗装が厚いものがある。そのため、排気管の触媒コンバータの熱により塗装が変形するとボルトが緩み、変速操作を繰り返すと、ボルトが脱落しチェンジペダルが外れて変速操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ピボットボルト締付け座面の塗装を除去し、ピボットボルトを対策品と交換する。
