Defect
The electric water-heating heater was designed with insufficient consideration of the heater element's durability, leaving certain elements unable to withstand long-term use. Continued operation causes internal damage to the element, which may cause the heater to stop functioning. In the worst case, defroster performance degrades, making it difficult to clear fogging or frost from the front windshield.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the electric water-heating heater with a corrected part.

状況
電気式水加熱ヒータにおいて、ヒータ素子の設計検討が不十分なため、当該素子の耐久性が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、素子内部が損傷し、最悪の場合、ヒータ作動が停止しデフロスタの性能が低下して、前面ガラスの曇りや霜がとれにくくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、電気式水加熱ヒータを対策品と交換する。
