Defect
In the Adaptive High-beam System (AHS) driver assistance function, an improper control program may cause a loss of beam distribution control when the high-beam headlights re-illuminate immediately after an automatic shutoff. As a result, a warning message may be displayed and the high-beam headlights may fail to illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the headlight control computer to the corrected/updated software specification.
