Defect

On vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, the resin housing of the peak torque limiter was molded under improper conditions, reducing the housing's structural strength. Repeated clutch operation may cause the housing to fracture and allow clutch fluid to leak. In the worst case, the clutch may become inoperable, preventing the driver from changing gears.

Corrective action

Replace the peak torque limiter on all vehicles with a known-good unit.

状況

手動変速機を搭載した車両において、ピークトルクリミッタの樹脂製ハウジングの成形条件が不適切なため、当該ハウジングの強度が低下したものがある。そのため、クラッチの繰返し操作によりハウジングが破損し、クラッチ液が漏れ、最悪の場合、クラッチ操作ができず変速できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ピークトルクリミッタを良品と交換する。
