Defect
① In the generator, the rib height inside the left crankcase cover — where the stator coil is assembled — is set incorrectly. The coil wiring may contact and be damaged by the rib, causing a short circuit. This leads to insufficient battery charging and, with continued use, the engine may stall while driving and fail to restart.
Corrective action
① On all vehicles, replace the left crankcase cover with the corrected/revised part and replace the stator coil with a new unit. On some vehicles, the rib will be reshaped in place.

状況
①発電機において、ステータコイルが組付けられている左側クランクケースカバー内側のリブ部高さ設定が不適切なため、当該コイル線がリブ部と干渉すると損傷して短絡することがある。そのため、バッテリが充電不足となり、そのまま使用を続けると、走行中にエンジンが停止して再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、左側クランクケースカバーを対策品に交換するとともに、ステータコイルを新品に交換する。なお、一部の車両においては、当該リブ部を修正する。
