Defect
On large tractors, the wiring harness branch points serving the electric cab tilt and air conditioning systems are improperly sealed against moisture. Water intrudes through the branch points, corroding the individual wire strands and causing disconnection. As a result, the electric cab tilt and air conditioning systems may become inoperable. In the worst case, the corroded area may overheat and ignite, causing fire damage to the surrounding wiring.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected wiring with the corrected replacement harness. Inspect the wiring at the branch points; if damage is found in the surrounding conductors, repair the damaged sections.

状況
大型トラクタの電気配線において、電動キャブチルト及びエアコン用配線の分岐部の防水処理が不適切なため、分岐部より水が浸入し、素線が腐食して断線するものがある。そのため、電動キャブチルトやエアコンが作動しなくなり、最悪の場合、腐食部が発熱して、分岐部周辺が焼損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該配線を補修用配線に交換する。なお、当該配線を点検し、分岐部周辺の配線に損傷が認められる場合は、損傷部位を補修する。
