Defect

The VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control) unit contains an incorrect electric parking brake control program. When vehicle vibration occurs while the electric parking brake is engaged, the sensor reacts excessively and may incorrectly detect that the vehicle is moving. This causes a warning lamp to illuminate and may prevent the electric parking brake from releasing.

Corrective action

Reprogram the VDC unit control program on all vehicles with the corrected software.
