Defect

In the power transmission system, the propeller shaft material and dimensions are incorrect, resulting in lower fatigue strength than required. This may cause cracks to develop in the propeller shaft. If the vehicle continues to be driven, the cracks may propagate until the propeller shaft fractures, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

状況

動力伝達装置において、プロペラシャフトの材料及び寸法が不適切なため、想定よりも疲労強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、プロペラシャフトに亀裂が発生する可能性があり、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、亀裂の進展によりプロペラシャフトが破損し、走行不能に至るおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、プロペラシャフトを対策品に交換する。
