Defect
The speed sensor harness is routed incorrectly due to improper routing instructions, allowing the harness to contact the rear tire during operation. This contact may cause a broken wire in the harness, disabling the speedometer.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the speed sensor harness for contact marks from the rear tire. If contact marks are present, replace the complete speed sensor assembly with new parts, add harness retaining clamps, and re-route the harness correctly. 状況
