Defect
Due to inadequate manufacturing controls, some aluminum wheels intended for overseas markets—which lack the vehicle-identifying code marking required for Japanese-market vehicles—were incorrectly installed. These wheels do not conform to Article 9 of the Safety Standards (standards for running gear).
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the vehicle-identifying code marking on the back of the wheel and replace any wheel lacking the marking with a conforming part.
