Defect
Due to inadequate manufacturing controls, some aluminum wheels intended for overseas markets — which lack the vehicle classification marking required for domestic use — were incorrectly installed. These wheels do not conform to Safety Standards Article 9 (Running Gear Standards).
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the vehicle classification marking on the reverse side of the wheel. Replace any wheel lacking the required marking with a conforming part.
