Defect
An incorrect primer was selected for bonding the quarter window glass molding at the rear of the rear door. Repeated thermal cycling generates stress in the molding, causing the adhesive bond to peel. This results in the molding lifting and producing abnormal noise. In the worst case, the molding may detach from the vehicle.
Corrective action
For all vehicles, replace the quarter window glass with a revised unit that uses a corrected primer for molding adhesion.

状況
後席ドア後部のクォータウィンドウガラスのモールディングにおいて、ガラスに接着するための下塗り剤(プライマー)の選定が不適切なため、温度変化の繰返しにより、モールディングに応力が生じて接着部が剥がれることがある。そのため、浮きや異音が発生し、最悪の場合、モールディングが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、モールディング接着のための下塗り剤を対策品に変更したクォータウィンドウガラスと交換する。
