Issue
Improper temperature control during the plating process for the gas-filled damper stay used on the back door generates internal stress during plating, causing micro-cracks to form on the stay surface. The enclosed gas then leaks through these cracks. In the worst case, the damper stay can no longer hold the back door open.
Corrective action
The damper stay serial number is verified, and any affected units are replaced with conforming parts. For certain models on which the serial number cannot be confirmed, the damper stay is replaced with a conforming part on all vehicles.

状況
バックドア用ガス封入式ダンパステーにおいて、メッキ工程での温度管理が不適切なため、メッキ生成時の内部応力によりダンパステー表面に微小亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、封入されたガスが漏れ、最悪の場合、バックドアを保持できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
ダンパステーの製造番号を確認し、該当するものは良品と交換する。なお、製造番号を確認できない一部車種については、全車両、ダンパステーを良品と交換する。
