Defect
Due to improper adjustment of the assembly equipment, the lock mechanism spring in the front passenger seat belt may have been installed in a bent condition. In the worst case, the spring interferes with surrounding components, causing the seat belt to fail to lock when pulled out rapidly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the seat belt manufacturing number and, where applicable, replace the front passenger seat belt with a non-defective unit.

状況
助手席用シートベルトにおいて、組付設備の調整が不適切なため、ロック機構部のスプリングが屈曲して組付けられたものがある。そのため、最悪の場合、当該スプリングが構成部品と干渉し、シートベルトが素早く引き出された際にロックしないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ベルトの製造番号を点検し、該当する場合は助手席用シートベルトを良品と交換する。
