Defect
The engine control unit (ECU) contains an improperly configured control program. Under a specific combination of operating conditions, the supply of vacuum from the engine to the brake booster may be delayed. In the worst case, when strong braking force is required, greater-than-normal brake pedal effort is needed, and stopping distance may be longer than expected.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine ECU control program to the corrected specification.

状況
エンジン制御装置(ECU)において、制御プログラムが不適切なため、幾つかの条件が重なったシーンでエンジンからブレーキ倍力装置への負圧供給が遅れる場合がある。そのため、最悪の場合、強い制動力が必要な場合に、通常より大きなブレーキ踏力が必要となり、想定よりも制動停止距離が長くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンECUの制御プログラムを対策仕様に書き替える。
