Defect
On medium-duty trucks and buses equipped with automated mechanical transmissions, the programming equipment used to write data to the gear position sensor was configured incorrectly. As a result, temperature compensation values were not written to the gear position sensor on affected units. When the vehicle is driven on uphill grades and the sensor reaches high operating temperatures, it may fail to output correct signals, causing the warning light to illuminate and preventing gear changes.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected gear position sensor with a non-defective unit.

状況
中型トラック及びバスの機械式自動変速機において、ギヤ位置センサ用プログラム書き込み設備の設定が不適切なため、ギヤ位置センサに温度補正値が書き込まれていないものがある。そのため、登坂路走行等を行い当該センサが高温になると正しく出力できなくなり、警告灯が点灯するとともに変速できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該センサを良品と交換する。
