Defect
On large and medium buses, the engine intake pipe plug is improperly designed for its mounting structure. Under the high internal pressure generated during heavy-load driving, the plug can be expelled from the intake pipe. This causes engine output to drop while driving and may result in the plug falling onto the roadway.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the complete intake pipe assembly will be replaced with a corrected part.

状況
大・中型バスにおいて、エンジンの吸気パイプの栓プラグの取付け構造が不適切なため、高負荷走行時の内圧により当該プラグが抜け、走行中にエンジン出力が低下するとともに栓プラグが路上に脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、吸気パイプ一式を対策品に交換する。
