Defect
On large buses, the parking brake lever console is improperly secured. If an object becomes lodged between the console and the driver's compartment partition, the console can shift and interfere with the parking brake lever. When the lever is pulled up, it may be held short of the locked position. In the worst case, engine vibration or similar forces can release the lever, allowing the vehicle to roll away.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the parking brake lever console and parking brake lever retaining bracket will be replaced with corrected parts. Because parts procurement requires additional time (mid- to late May), owners will be notified in the interim not to place any objects between the parking brake lever console and the driver's compartment partition.

状況
大型バスにおいて、駐車ブレーキレバー用コンソールの固定方法が不適切なため、当該コンソールと運転席仕切りの間に物をはさむと当該コンソールがずれて、駐車ブレーキレバーと干渉することがある。そのため、駐車ブレーキレバーを引き上げるとロック位置の手前で保持され、最悪の場合、エンジンの振動等によりレバーが解除され車両が動き出すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、駐車ブレーキレバー用コンソールと駐車ブレーキレバー固定金具を対策品に交換する。なお、部品の準備に時間を要するため（５月中旬から下旬）、交換するまでの間、駐車ブレーキレバー用コンソールと運転席仕切りの間に物をはさまない旨をお客様に注意喚起する。
