Defect
In the air conditioning unit's PTC heater, the electrical wiring is improperly secured. During vehicle operation, vibration causes the wiring to move, wearing the terminals. Continued use increases resistance between the terminals, generating abnormal heat and smoke. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may result.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the PTC heater with a corrected part.

状況
エアコンユニットのＰＴＣヒータにおいて、電気配線の固定が不適切なため、走行中の振動等により揺動し端子が摩耗することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用すると、端子間の抵抗が増加し異常発熱して、発煙し、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ＰＴＣヒータを対策品と交換する。
