Filing in context
The Wiring is the most frequently cited component category in this archive, appearing in 236 of its 4,890 filings. This filing is one of 37 Isuzu notifications from 2017 in this archive. Defect
On large and medium route buses, the terminal connections for the photoelectric sensor wiring at the center door are improperly made, allowing vibration during driving to cause a broken wire. Additionally, the waterproofing treatment on the terminals is inadequate, allowing water intrusion to cause a short circuit. In the worst case, the center door may become unable to open or close.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the connection points of the photoelectric sensor wiring are repaired.
